THE NEW THROW-BACKS

Music is such a powerful tool to make us feel as if we lived through those times, connect us to certain memories and unlock feelings we didn’t know about. Silk Sonic’s new album, “An Evening With Silk Sonic '' recreated this funkadelic Soul Train of the 70’s that most of our grandparents grew up listening to. What is interesting about this album is that the artists themselves never lived through this time, but like most of us, listened to the music of the time. These two men accomplished this nostalgia trip exquisitely back to the era of innovative musicianship of the funk/disco era.
